Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just show up at the farm to pick flowers or take pictures without an appointment or event ticket?

No. Cove Creek Lavender is a working family farm on private property and our schedule varies based on the season. We request all persons intersted in visiting the farm do so by participating in a scheduled Farm Event or to Contact Us. The only exception is for patrons of the Bouquet Cart!

What are the hours of the farm?

Cove Creek Lavender is currently closed for the season. We do however look forward to welcoming you to the farm Spring 2024! Operating hours and event information for Cove Creek Lavender will be posted on Facebook, Instagram and this webpage's Farm Event link.

What is the Bouquet Cart?

The Bouquet Cart will be opening in Spring 2024, and availability will be posted on Cove Creek Lavender's Facebook and Instagram pages.

What is the FarmStand?

The FarmStand is Cove Creek Lavender's very own brick-and-mortar storefront where lavender lovers can purchase fresh flowers, dried lavender bouquets, as well as a plethora of other handmade lavender inspired products! Why Lavender?

Lavender is the epitome of all medicinal herbs. The oil from the plant is healing, antiseptic and uniquely fragrant, providing a natural calm and balance.

When multiple acres are planted, lavender fields are an impressive sight rendering visitors an experience of visual beauty and natural aroma. When visitors walk the fields, they are magically drawn to the beauty of the fields, the hum of the bees working, and the fragrance of the plants.

We chose lavender because it perfectly integrates our care for nature, health, beauty, and connection. We look forward to inviting you to come and enjoy Cove Creek Lavender with us.

When does lavender bloom?

The bloom time of lavender is slightly different between varieties and Mother Nature's whim, but generally lavender blooms from early-June through late-July.

Do you grow different lavender varieties?

Yes! Cove Creek Lavender grows both English and French lavender.

Can you cut your own lavender (& Other Flowers)?

Cove Creek Lavender will offer U-Pick specials and promotions during the season where you can cut your own lavender, sunflowers and zinnia in designated areas. We kindly ask that visitors only cut in the marked areas (this allows everyone to have a beautiful experience and helps us keep our plants healthy).

How accessible is the farm?

Cove Creek Lavender Farm is located in the scenic footprint of the Appalacian Mountains of East Tennessee. The farm is not flat! Our lavender and cut flower fields have an inclined landscape that is uneven and (for some) may be very challenging to navigate. Strollers are permitted but are extremely difficult to push on the ground; carriers are recommended. We also encourage all guests to wear closed-toe shoes while visiting due to the farm's uneven terrain (it's a farm!), as well as areas of dirt, grass and gravel which may become difficult to navigate post wet weather.

What should i know about bringing my service animal to the farm?

Service animals for guests with disabilities are welcome in all areas to which the general public has access, provided that the service animal is on leash and accompanies the individual with the disability for which the animal is trained. Please be aware that Cove Creek Lavender Farm has various farm animals that are not located within the general public access areas, therefore if the individual (handler) is unable to maintain control of their service animal, then staff may ask that the service animal be removed from the grounds.

Please visit the ADA for additional information.

We look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

Fresh.  Local.  Sustainable.

Thank you for supporting our farm!
